Some Hiking Safety Tips:
          · Bring lots of water and snacks to keep you going (Drink water even when you aren't thirsty)
             · Go at your own pace!

             · Be prepared for rain! Bring rain gear and put your valuables in plastic bags so that they will stay dry.

             · Wear proper attire--athletic shoes and exerise wear. Make sure the shoes fit comfortably, it's always better to have good fitting shoes. If you don't want them to get muddy, use an old pair but make sure they fit well. If you think you want to make hiking part of your routine, you may want to invest in some hiking boots!

               · Pack a first- aid kit

               · Wear sunscreen to protect from UV rays

               · Bring sunglasses to protect you eyes

               · If you have allergies, make sure you have non-drowsy medication with you.

               · Look over a trail map, and tell someone (family member or friend) your planned route.
